Barbara J. Ross Award Winning Screen Writer |  Novelist | Story Development

Barbara Ross is a screenwriter and novelist known for crafting bold, high concept action thrillers driven by powerful female leads. She builds big, active stories where intelligence, strategy, and resilience shape the outcome, and where women move the plot forward with purpose.

Barbara writes about leading women because strength is at the core of how she constructs story, character, and conflict. Her work blends intricate suspense and layered mystery with high octane adventure, placing her protagonists at the intersection of history, power, and consequence. A defining element of her storytelling is the integration of real historical events into contemporary narratives, grounding her thrillers in authenticity while allowing her characters to navigate modern danger with depth and authority.

Her high concept screenplay The Cleopatra Project was a finalist at the Catalina Film Festival and is currently in development. Her latest spy thriller novel, Pythos, is represented by Judith A. Moose at Midwest Literary and Talent, signaling her rising presence in the literary and entertainment landscape.
